Love Homes Supports Sam\u0027s Gift
Love Homes are delighted to be supporting Sam's Gift
Here's a little more about a wonderful charity ...
Being a self confessed Michael Ball wannabe, I love being part of Bury Fire Choir. For my own personal reasons, I find singing release many positive endorphins, and I have met lots of great people along the way.
I recently had the pleasure of singing as part of the choir at a drinks reception for Sam's Gift at the Lowry hotel in Salford.
Sue Nicholls, who is one of our members founded Sam's Gift after sadly losing her son to T-Cell Lymphoma. It was quite a short journey for Sam and his family, however, he fought with determination up until the end. A cruel thing to happen to such a vibrant young man who should have had his whole life ahead of him.
Here is a little of Sam's story as told by Sue;
For those of us who have known and lost young people to illness, we know how devastating and confusing it can be. After all, nobody should have to go through such an ordeal so early in life.
Using Sam's determination and spirit, Sue, along with her sons founded Sam's Gift
The positivity that Sam showed throughout treatment is something that we want to encourage in others.
In Sam’s memory, we have created Sam’s Gift – a ‘Journey Box’ where hopes, fears and wishes can be expressed.
We want to help young cancer patients through the difficult times which may lie ahead of them. Sam’s Gift aims to give something positive, at a time when it is most needed.
The Journey Box is given to the young person themselves and contains things that will help them along the way.
